Stories Residential Complex at Mosfilmovskaya
1/ 14
Stories at Mosfilmovskaya — a premium residential complex in Ramenki, whose architectural concept was developed by the international design bureau Nikken Sekkei. The composition combines a 29-storey Stories Tower and an 11-storey Terrace House, connected by a common base. Smooth lines, rounded corners and cascading terraces form the image of a "house-yacht", which became the foundation of the complex's architectural concept.
The main facade material is terracotta. The cladding uses smooth and fluted slats in three sand shades, which create a warm, natural palette and emphasize the horizontal rhythm of the buildings. The project incorporates more than 15,000 m² of terracotta elements in total.
Metal plays a more delicate role here — in details, junctions and individual facade elements, maintaining geometric clarity and not competing with the primary material. Combined with panoramic and corner glazing, it helps make complex joints visually light and emphasizes the plasticity of the volumes.
The architecture is particularly expressive in Terrace House: stepped terraces resemble decks, and the smooth lines of the facade enhance the sense of movement. In Stories Tower, by contrast, a more elegant vertical composition prevails, where terracotta slats and large glazing function as a unified rhythmic pattern.
