Yanalyf is a luxury residential quarter in Kazan located on the territory of the former river port by the Volga river. The architectural and spatial concept was developed by Tsimaylo Lyashenko and Partners, reinterpreting the cultural heritage of Tatarstan through contemporary geometry and variable storeys. The quarter's composition is built on a combination of mid-rise buildings and tall accent structures. Characteristic trapezoidal forms and stepped terracing evoke the silhouette of the Suyumbike Tower, creating a complex and dynamic urban skyline. This sculptural quality simultaneously opens views to the Volga and makes the large residential ensemble more dynamic. One of the key facade materials is pre-painted aluminium. Volume panels emphasize the building facets, support the rhythm of terraces and enhance the expressiveness of the geometry. The project uses a deep green shade that works particularly well alongside water and transforms depending on natural lighting. In overcast weather, the metal appears calmer and deeper, while in bright sunlight the surface becomes more saturated and acquires a subtle metallic shimmer. Reflections of the sky and the Volga add additional depth to the facades, so the colour functions not as a flat decorative surface but as part of the overall architectural composition.

Aluminium interacts with brick, glass, natural stone and other mineral materials, creating a complex yet cohesive material palette. As a result, Yanalyf's architecture combines the contemporary language of facades with recognizable Kazan motifs — through proportions, colour, metal and connection to the water landscape.
