Residential complex "Qasteev"

Qasteev is a business-class residential complex in Astana, located on the left bank of the city. The architectural concept was developed by AGP Architects: the composition is built on the combination of height accents and more intimate volumes, which allows the complex to form a complex, layered silhouette.
The architecture of the facades combines a light framing structure, clinker texture and expressive vertical metal elements. Aluminium panels in a rich copper shade were used for cladding, which add depth to the facade and emphasize its vertical rhythm.
Window surrounds made of pre-painted aluminium create particular expressiveness. The metal interacts differently with natural light: depending on the lighting, the copper shade becomes either deeper and calmer, or acquires bright metallic brilliance.
Arched openings on the ground floors form an expressive base for the buildings and connect the scale of the tall structures with the pedestrian environment. As a result, metal, clinker and large glazed surfaces combine into a coherent architectural composition with a warm and distinctive character.
