Dynamo Central Stadium named after Lev Yashin / VTB Arena — one of Moscow's key sports facilities, whose renovation combined the historic architecture of the 1928 stadium with a contemporary multifunctional complex.

During the work, significant fragments of the historic facade were preserved, while the new part of the building acquired a more plastic and technologically advanced character. Metal becomes the material that helps connect these two architectural layers — historic and contemporary.

For the roofing, aluminium S.Falz standing seam panels from Cladding Solutions were used. The standing seam system made it possible to create a unified metal surface of complex geometry and achieve a smooth transition from roof to facade without visual discontinuity.

Aluminium here functions not only as a roofing material but also as a full-fledged instrument of architectural composition. It emphasises the streamlined form of the new volume, makes the large structure visually lighter, and creates an expressive contrast with the rhythm of the preserved historic facades.

As a result, VTB Arena is perceived as architecture of two eras united in a single composition. The historic envelope preserves the memory of place, while the contemporary aluminium surface shapes the new dynamic silhouette of the sports complex.
