Izmaylovo MCC Station — a transport interchange hub of the Moscow Central Ring, opened in 2016. The architectural image of the station is built on the combination of glass, metal and clear geometry, characteristic of modern transport infrastructure.

Aluminium became the key facade material. The transport interchange hub is clad with cassettes made from 2 mm aluminium sheets, which form a neat and technologically advanced building envelope.

Metal here works primarily as both a functional and architectural material. It protects the facade from complex atmospheric impacts, maintains dimensional accuracy and emphasizes the rhythm of large planes without overloading the overall appearance of the station.

Combined with glazing, aluminium cassettes help make the building visually lighter and more contemporary. Light metallic surfaces reflect natural light well and create a calm backdrop for transparent facade sections.

As a result, the architecture of Izmaylovo station remains concise and functional, and metal becomes one of the main materials shaping its strict and modern character.
