Secondary School No. 109 — a new educational complex in Voronezh, designed by PI "Giprokommundortrans". The building's architecture is based on a combination of large light planes, glazing and expressive metal accents that help visually organise the extended school volume.
One of the key facade materials is pre-painted aluminium in a saturated golden shade. Metal elements emphasise entrance zones, individual volumes and the facade rhythm, creating a warm contrast with the more neutral surfaces of the building.
Thanks to the metallic effect, the surface perceives natural light differently: in sunlight it becomes brighter and more lustrous, while in diffuse lighting it reveals a calm brass-golden tone. The metal here works not as a separate decorative layer, but as part of the overall architectural composition. It helps highlight key building elements, add depth to the facade and make the large educational object more recognisable and proportionate to the surrounding residential environment.
As a result, the school's architecture remains functional and laconic, yet gains its own character through precise work with colour, light and metal accents.
