Spa & Beauty at Palmira Art Hotel — a wellness space in Moscow, designed by MAD Architects as an independent part of the hotel's architectural concept. The interior is built on soft plasticity, sophisticated light work and a combination of tactile materials that create a calm, almost intimate atmosphere.

One of the key materials is pre-painted aluminium. It is used in the finishing of ceilings, vestibule, massage rooms, showers and zones with elevated humidity, where metal works simultaneously as both a decorative and functional material.

Aluminium reveals itself with particular expressiveness in three-dimensional and perforated panels. The metallic surface interacts with soft artificial light, creates depth and gentle shimmer, while the complex geometry of the panels helps form a continuous rhythm throughout the interior.

For a SPA space, not only the visual qualities of the material matter, but also its practical properties. Aluminium is resistant to moisture, steam and temperature fluctuations, making it work organically in aquathermal and wellness zones while maintaining surface cleanliness and precision of architectural form.

As a result, metal becomes part of the overall atmosphere of Palmira SPA & Beauty — not a cold technical material, but a malleable and expressive interior element that unites light, colour and form into a unified space.
