Crocus City Aquarium — a large entertainment and educational complex in Moscow, whose architectural image is directly connected with the theme of water, light and the marine environment. The building's form is based on a combination of smooth lines, large transparent surfaces and expressive metal cladding.

One of the key facade materials was pre-painted aluminium. Metal panels form a unified building envelope and emphasize its soft, flowing geometry, alluding to the movement of water.

Aluminium is particularly expressive under sunlight: the surface acquires depth and a subtle pearlescent effect, allowing the facade to change throughout the day and become visually more vibrant. The metal reflects the sky and surrounding light, enhancing the association with a marine surface.

In combination with glass, aluminium helps make the large volume visually lighter. Transparent and metallic surfaces work as a unified composition, where light, reflections and smooth lines support the overall ocean theme.

As a result, the facade becomes a continuation of the complex's interior concept: the architecture establishes the image of a water environment from the outside, and the metal plays one of the main roles in creating this effect.
