Letolet Water Park
1/ 6
Letolet Water Park is a large year-round entertainment complex in Tyumen, located on the banks of the Tura River. The architectural concept was developed by Italian studio R+S Workshop, and design development was carried out by Architect Tabanakov A.V. Workshop. The complex combines a water park, hotel, spa and public spaces in a unified architectural system.
Pre-painted aluminium plays an important role in the building's appearance. Facade panels form large continuous surfaces and help unite the extended complex volume into a contemporary, visually lightweight composition. The material is particularly suitable for Tyumen's climate thanks to its resistance to harsh weather conditions.
Perforated aluminium has been applied to parts of the facades. Perforation creates additional rhythm and depth to the surface, and combined with large glazed areas makes the facade more plastic and airy. Here, metal works simultaneously as a decorative layer and as a tool that changes the building's perception depending on light and viewing angle.
Transparent structures enhance this effect: large glass surfaces and ETFE elements fill internal spaces with natural light and visually reduce the scale of the complex.
As a result, Letolet's architecture is built on a combination of transparency and metal. Aluminium shapes the character of the facade, emphasizes its rhythm and helps the large entertainment complex maintain a light, contemporary appearance.
