Types of coatings of painted aluminium:

1. PVDF
2. Super-polyester
3. Polyester
4. Polyurethane/polyammide

Coating designation:

  • PVDF. The composition of the coating is polyvinyl fluoride and acrylic. The most resistant polymer coating of aluminium for all types of environmental exposure. Aluminium products with this type of coating are recommended for the construction of ventilated facades of buildings and structures, as in this case the coating fully demonstrates all its characteristics and guarantees a long service life of the facade or roof. The coating is highly resistant to corrosion and guarantees protection of the facade from water, snow and acids. This type of coating is recommended for use in coastal areas (marine climate). PVDF-coated aluminium does not change colour under UV radiation throughout its entire service life. PVDF coatings meet the most demanding technical and architectural requirements and show the best performance in the manufacture of the final product (facade wall panels, roof elements).
  • Super-polyester – Coating for pre-painted aluminium, produced from polyester with coating thickness up to 45 µm. The increase in coating thickness compared to plain polyester is due to the requirements for increased durability and resistance to natural factors. For example, roofing aluminium with this type of coating is more resistant to direct impact - manufacturing of roofs using industrial rebate technology. Super-polyester contains polymer components that create a scratch-resistant surface.
  • Polyester (PE) - Polyester based coating. Painted aluminium with this type of coating is resistant to high temperatures, corrosion and UV radiation. Facade and roofing aluminium with PE coating is used in construction, both industrial and civil, due to its resistance to weathering, strength, and at the same time plasticity in processing, a wide range of colours and reasonable cost. Manufacturers recommend the use of products, pre-coloured tapes and sheets with this type of coating in interior solutions and for interior finishing of buildings and their elements.
  • Polyurethane/polyammide (PU) – The coating consists of polyurethane modified with polyamide and acrylic. This composition of polymers was not chosen by chance, as polyamide gives aluminium increased resistance to UV radiation, and acrylic makes the metal more durable. The thickness of the coating is up to 45 microns. The high performance characteristics of this coating, namely resistance to corrosion, resistance to UV radiation, high resistance to mechanical impact, resistance to chemicals, allow the use of aluminium facades and roofs with it, not only in the civil, but also in the industrial sector.

Advantages of using painted aluminium with COIL COATING (CCL) technology

  1. Fire safety - aluminium alloy AW-5754 is made according to European EN standard and melts at a temperature of 730 C, but without releasing toxic gases
  2. Price. High automation of the production process allows to significantly reduce the cost of production of the final product, compared to alternative products.
  3. Quality. The plant is a full-cycle enterprise - from the purchase of primary raw materials to the production of final products in the form of coloured tapes or sheets. Product quality control is carried out at all stages. Technological equipment of the plant allows minimising the human factor.
  4. Timeline. CCL's painted aluminium production technology significantly reduces the time required to complete large-scale construction projects, compared to competitive products.
  5. Design and trends. CCL technology allows to paint aluminium strips not only in all RAL colours, but also to create imitations of natural materials - stone, concrete, brick, wood. Modern polymer coating and unique aluminium alloy guarantee high quality and long service life of the final products. Cladding Solutions products, thanks to their properties, give architects the opportunity to put into practice bold and extraordinary ideas, embodying them in aluminium.
  6. Environment. Production on CCL lines minimises harm to the environment.
  7. Development and progress. The specialists of the plant are constantly striving to improve the characteristics of the manufactured products. There is a constant work on modernisation of the production process itself and technological equipment of the plant.
